U14 Championship Semi-Final

St Colmcilles 7-26 V Duleek/Bellewstown 2-6

The final this year for the Paddy O’Brien Cup otherwise known to some as the U14 Championship will see St Colmcilles take on old rivals Dunshaughlin after the East Coast boys put in a stunning display to beat a much improved and talented Duleek/Bellewstown side in Piltown. The opening half saw St Colmcilles power out of the blocks and in a 25 minute spell played some stunning football with some wonderful kick passing, support play, sharp off loads and great scoring to which the visitors had no anwser.   In an opening period scores from Sean O’Donoghue (1-4), Adam Daly (1-3), Luke Hanan (0-3), Emmet Higgins (1-1), Fiachra Mac an Aba (0-1),  Conor Farrelly (0-1), Shaun Leonard (0-1) and Evan Morgan (0-1) saw the home side lead 3-15 to 1-4 with Duleeks goal coming courtesy of Adam Courtney.
